Metalocalypse

Perhaps one of the best animated shows of all time. The show is called Metalocalypse and is based on a fictitious heavy metal band named Dethklok that is voiced by real metal musicians. Basically the show follows the life of the members of Dethklok. Each member is loosely based on a real metal head, for example, the lead guitarist is based on Alexi Laiho of Children Of Bodom.

The show is based in Norway, where most metalcore music originated. The show, as you can imagine, is loaded with blood and gore. I suggest you check out some episodes on YouTube. Sadly, the show is not aired on Kuwaiti MTV :-( ... bu torrents are available online :-)

All Hail Zakk Wylde

The video speaks for itself.

3rd Week Of School

WellI started my third week of school. Not so entertaining so far. They have the Student Council elections up and going. There were moon bounces at school, as well as a DJ and popcorn vendor/. I guess they're nothing left to do but practice politics like real Kuwaiti politicians in Kuwait... pay people to vote for you.

Oh, and I still haven't recieved my 200 KD Amiri decree... dammit...

777 Sucks

Fuck 777. Fuck it all... I don't feel like typing it all up, so here you go:-

JAR Programs

I found a website loaded with all kinds of programs for all kinds of mobiles. I just download Money Manager, a huge collection of games, MSN Mobile, Quran Reader, Amazon Fish, and plenty more. Best thing about it is that I downloaded them all for FREE. Yep,no charge whatsoever. All you have to do is download them onto your computer then transfer them into your phone however you wanna do it. I just send them via bluetooth. When your phone gets them, simply save and install them and the program will be ready for use. I suggest you check it out...

My New Phone

I finally did it, went to Al-Muneera Complex near Marina Mall and traded in my dead V3 and payed the price for a Nokia 9300. I spent the whole day yesterday just tinkering around with it, and I must say the damn thing is pretty fun. The keyboard on the inside is pretty fun and the display is much clearer than I anticipated. I'll post a review about it once I have some real experience with it. Hopefully, in like a month's time like Mark did.

Slash & Zakk

They're just fucking awesome...

Micheal Schumacher Retires

Micheal Schumacher has recently announced his timely retirement. Schumacher has won just about ever major F1 racing even in the past 10 years. He's had an incredible career with Ferrari, not to mention an incredible paycheck.

They guy's been totally dominating the sport for a long time. People go to the races only to watch Micheal rake in one more win. Although, his brother Ralf Schumacher is still racing. We'll see if he ends up with career record anywhere near his brother's...

Apple Unveiling

There's a grand Apple unveiling of new products today in San Francisco. Is this one of them? This image has been on the net for a while now. Last time this happened, it was the new iPod being revealed, turned out the design was authentic. If that is the case this time around, I'm getting my iPhone ASAP.

Weeks Flying By

The first week of school was just excruciatingly slow. The second week went by fast. If only the remainder of the year flew by like this...

Mondays

Today is a Monday, which is probably the most neutral day of the week. Today was surprisingly not a bad day at school, especially the last 2 lessons. I had Advisory and Elements of Art, basically, I had relaxation followed by kick back and enjoy. People didn't seem to give me that much of a bitch of a time today. I felt somewhat... damn it I dont have a word for it, but its a combination of relieved and at peace.

Maybe its the thought of the Amir's gift this coming weekend... or maybe this is just God's way of relieving my slight case of homesickness. Only God knows I guess...

Hypertrichosis... Meeting The Victims

This is Supatra Sasuphan. She is a Thai girl leading a normal life excpet for one thing, she was born with a genetic fault causing hair to grow on her face and body. This genetic alteration is called hypertrichosis. Turns out, there are only 40 documented cases of hypertrichosos since 1648. Somewhere seep in out DNA, there is a gene that allows us to looke just like that...

The original title for this case was "Wolf Girl". I found that extremely innapropriate because I know what it feels like to be teased for being different. I decided to re-title the piece for the blog.

Farewell Phone

I just dropped my phone... its now permanently dead.

Kuwaiti Lifestyle Shirt

I mean seriously... its the truth. Imagine walking around Marina Mall wearing one of those.

Brand New Look

I changed the template to give the blog a cleaner, neater, more modern look. What do you think? Any suggestions?

Boubyan Bank

Bank Boubyan is a new Islamic bank stationed in Kuwait that recently started operations. The website still looks very basic but its a good start. I noticed its the only bank in the country to have a "ladies' branch". Immediately, I thought...WTF??? A LADIES' BRANCH??? Are you telling me we're having trouble with cell phone pervs in banks now? Damn... only in Arabia.

Anyways, the bank does seem to have an upside. Since the bank is an Islamic bank, and Islamic law is against interest, the bank (hopefully, I'm not sure) does not charge interest on credit card bills and loan payments. If so, I'm gonna get a credit card, spend like a fucking lunatic, and repay by the time I'm a million years old. That would be alot of fun. Just imagine it, I'd love having the Guinness World Record for most impressive credit card bill... *Fuzz snaps back to reality*.

Their main branch is in the Sharg Area, Mubarak Al-Kabeer St., Block 1, Building 17: Basement, Ground, and Mezzanine floors.

Their ladies' branch is in Kuwait City, Abdullah Al-Salem St., Block 5, Building 15, Central Commercial Area.

Their third and final branch is in Hawally on Beirut Street, Block 66, Building 5, Ground & Mezzanine floors.

Swearing 7 Year Old

His attempt at swearing is purely repetitive pathetic crap, but not bad for a 7 year old... I'd like to see him pick a fight with the average Kuwaiti streetchild though, hahaha...

Birthday Wishlist

Here are some things I want for my birthday this year in no particular order:-

  1. White Macbook 2.0 Ghz Dual-Core
  2. Nokia 9300i (if I don't buy it myself)
  3. Epiphone Slash Les Paul
  4. Tag Heuer Wristwatch
  5. Cash (it wouldn't hurt :P)
Dunno what else, there's plenty I want, but none I can remember at the moment...

What Was I Thinking???

I had a great oppertunity to get a great phone today, and I totally blew it. I can be such a moron sometimes.

While browsing through Kuwait city I passed by a phone shop and say this really cool Nokia 9300, which is the only Nokia that I actally like. I asked the clerk if he was willing to trade it for my aging Motorola V3, he (surpisingly) said yes. I took a second look at my phone and said," No thanks."

Shit, I had the chance to get a Nokia, but I didn't. What was I thinking???

I'll pass by Muneera Complex (if i recall the name correctly) near Marina Mall and check out the phone shops there. They might even have a Nokia 9300i (with WiFi) to trade with my V3. I can't wait to get a new phone.

Epiphone Slash Les Paul

The guitar on the right is the Epiphone version of the Gibson custom guitar made especially for Slash in his Slash's Snakepit days. Personally, I am a massive fan of Slash and I think this guitar is probably the best guitar ever made by Gibson/Epiphone. I am yearning to own one and since my birthday is coming up this November I can sort of beg people for one :P

Anyways, I'd love to own the limited edition Gibson version, which has an artistic snake set on the fretboard in place of the inlays. Unfortunately, that guitar costs more than my tuition. The Epiphone version, as seen on the right is much moe affordable, about 500 dollars on eBay. The only difference is the fretboard, it has regulat Les Paul trapezoid inlays instead of the magnificent snake finish. I can't find any photos of the snake fretboard, but when I do, I'll post it on the blog. Not only do guitarists love it, artists love it since so much work was put into the detail of the snake. You'll know what I mean when you see it.

For now, I gotta find me a way to get that Epiphone Slash Les Paul. Damn, the thing is just pure gorgeous. If only...

Stupid Snake

Apparently, a snake attempted to swallow an alligator that wasn't totally dead yet, and when the alligator went down it burst the snake open and then died inside the snake's carcass.

Thats pretty messed up, don't ya think?

Kenny G

I love this dude's music. This man knows how to compose some serious music. He's a master of pretty much all wind instruments. He has this unique way of being able to merge two different styles of music into one and making it seem just as melodic as any purely saxophone or clarinet pieces he's composed.

I was just listening to his rendition of Eric Clapton's "Tears In Heaven". His rendition is pretty much the same guitarwork but Eric's vocals are substituted with melodic instrumentals. Pure genious. If only he composes a piece with Joe Satriani or BB King.

Get some of his albums online at Amazon.com.

Shooting Range

I went ot the shooting range with my cousin yesterday. I must say, shooting things is a good way of releasing tension. My pistol shooting has improved... all I need now is a pistol :P

Croc Hunter's Death To Be Broadcast On TV

Footage of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin being killed by a stingray will be shown on TV to honour his wishes.

The daredevil’s cameramen captured the moment yesterday when the Aussie legend was stabbed through the heart by the fish’s deadly barbed tail.

Steve had always ordered his crew to carry on filming even if he was mauled to death.

So the graphic footage showing Steve, 44, being speared to death off Australia’s Great Barrier Reef is set for a sensational broadcast.
Queensland Police seized the tapes as the death sent shockwaves around the world.

But it is understood Steve’s family have vowed to grant the real-life Crocodile Dundee his "dying wish".

Steve famously said: "My number one rule is to keep that camera rolling. Even if it’s shaky or slightly out of focus, I don’t give a rip!

"Even if a big big old alligator is chewing me up I want to go down and go, ‘Crikey!’ just before I die. That would be the ultimate for me."

An insider said: "This is exactly what Steve would have wanted. He knew the dangers and was totally up for the cameras to get everything."

Steve's Final Moments

Videotape of the moment Steve Irwin was hit by a stingray's tail shows the Australian naturalist pulling the barb from his chest, his manager has said.

"The tail came up, and spiked him here [in the chest], and he pulled it out and the next minute, he's gone," Mr Irwin's manager, John Stainton, said.

Yeah... the poor guy spent his final breaths pulling out a poisonous bard that piereced his heart out of his chest.

Rest In Peace, Steve Irwin....

Monotonous Lifestyle

I know I've been bitching alot lately but it'smy blog dammitand I do whatever I want to do with it:P I'm getting really bored of this boring old fucking monotonous lifestyle already. Wake up, go to school, eat shit, come back, do homework, sleep, and then wake up again tomorrow only to do the same thing. I need a new thrill...

RIP Steve Irwin

Shortly after 11:00am local time on 4 September 2006, Irwin was fatally pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while diving off Queensland's Great Barrier Reef. The events were caught on camera and the footage is now in the possession of Queensland Police.[22] He had been filming a segment for his daughter Bindi's upcoming television series. Irwin was in the area filming his own documentary, to be called Ocean's Deadliest, but weather had stalled filming. Irwin decided to take the opportunity to film some shallow water shots for his daughter's television program.[23] The BBC reported that this was only the second known fatality in Australian history from a stingray attack,[24] while The Age and CNN lists it as the third.[23][25]

AP Biology ... Yes Or No?

I have no idea why the fuck I decided to sign up for AP Biology last year. Here's the thing:-

A) I can go for AP Biology and try my best and possibly get a good enough grade for a scholarship to a college or university in Boston (home sweet home). Or I can totally screw it up and ruin my GPA and fuck up lots of chances of getting into plenty other schools.

B) I can get out of AP Biology and guarantee I won't fuck up my GPA because of it (A pre-requisite of a B in Algebra 2 is required... I really really really suck at Algebra 2 and barely passed last year). So then I have the chance to get into alot of colleges in more than one country for undergraduate courses, then go on to Boston for graduate courses.

I DONT KNOW WHAT THE FUCK TO DO!!! AND I ONLY HAVE TO THE END OF THIS WEEK!!!

Please...tell me what you think I should do...

Tomorrow

Tomorrow's day 2. Hoo-fucking-ray... I can't fucking wait. I'm bored already, back to the regular monotonous schedule.

Day One

Today was my first day back. Fucking hate the joint already. Atleast nobody gave me that "you is a Amreeky" bullshit today. One person asked me what I thought about the day back that made it sort of like the person reads the blog, but I highly doubt it. Doesn't look the type.

Anyways, 1 day down, 281 to go...

A Free Man No More

In 12 hours I'm gonna be getting up to get ready for....the dreaded word....school. Damn, I got this weird gut feeling telling me that something is gonna go terribly wrong tomorrow. I guess I'll just have to wait and see til tomorrow.

Right now I'm just talking to a friend on iChat and listening to some of Black Label Society's softer, mellower, and more melodic songs. Sold My Soul and Whiter Shade Of Pale are awesome. God Bless Zakk Wylde.

The Guitar Dater Project

I was browsing the net and stumbled upon this site. I think it fucking rocks, pretty useful information if you are selling guitars. Basically, you select what brand your guitar is, then you type in your guitar's serial number (printed on back of headstock). The instant you hit the "Submit" button you get full stats on your guitar. You get the location of where your guitar was made, a tour of the factory where it was made, and the date it was made. Unfortunately, you only get the month and year, so you cant celebrate an exact birthday.

My Epiphone Les Paul is about 2 and half years old and was made in Gibson's (parent company) plant in Qanding. Pretty sweet, huh?
